FEC Highway Services is the drayage arm of the FEC Railway. FEC found that customers needed the extra value added services of a drayage arm to get the goods from their door to the customer’s door. FEC Highway Services has moulded the drayage business to fit the customer’s needs.

FEC Highway Services will provide equipment for loading, pick up the load, deliver it to the rail hub where FEC Railway takes over to deliver it to the destination rail hub where an FEC Highway Services picks it up and delivers the unit to the customers’ door. Once unloaded the unit is delivered back to the railroad hub for return to origin. This plan makes it easy for customers to get their whole move handled with one phone call, one invoice and one company to deal with.

This process has been very successful for nationally known customers such as WALMART, BJ’s Wholesale Clubs, Pepsi, Quaker Oats, Unilever, Winn Dixie, Publix, Toy’s R Us, and DelMonte Foods.

FEC Highway Services is always looking for ways to meet our customers’ needs and streamlining processes to provide a comparable product to that of over-the-road carriers. By adding Qualcomm communications in all of the tractors, our drivers are able to communicate up to the minute events so customers know where, when and what is going on with their shipment at all times. We feature 24/7 delivery services to accommodate unloading needs of customers. Timely processing of paperwork provides customers with a quick and accurate invoice.
